The Safety Needle incorporates a safety cover which is activated over the hypodermic needle following injection to guard against the risk of needle stick injury. As a result of it’s findings, the team at Métier Medical, further developed the concept of an additional locking system built into the safety cover which effectively provides 4 locks in total to ensure the safety cover locks solidly over a hypodermic needle after injection. Designed by Larry Minix, the Secure-Lok ® locking system located at the base of the safety cover guarantees that the cover is locked solidly with no possibility of release from its locked position.
