Grant Howells

Founder I CEO I Director

Grant is the CEO, Director and Founder of Métier Medical Ltd and its consolidated entities.  He is accountable for daily business operations, finance, sales and marketing of each entity in Australia, USA, Europe, China and Hong Kong.

Grant has been responsible for leading Métier Medical through its most important challenges and opportunities, often in complicated and highly visible regulatory investor and media environments.

Growing up in Newcastle, Grant’s educational background included studies in economics, business and marketing.  After living abroad in England on a schooling cricket scholarship to Lancing College in Sussex, he returned to Australia in 1985 to start his own marketing business.  This led to consulting work with a company associated in the steel industry and where his future path was forged.

This career trajectory led him into the competitive steel trade, where he founded his own company in 1997 - Metal Mates Pty Ltd.  Metal Mates was born when Grant saw an opportunity in the market, and with a motivation to succeed and grow the business he catapulted the company into a highly successful steel business, where he is still an active Director.

 The decision to transition into the medical industry in 2010 came about quite serendipitously as an investor, and then later becoming a Director on the board of a medical company.  It was here Grant found his passion and a deep motivation for helping others.  His business and entrepreneurial skills were instrumental in forming Métier Medical Ltd, a medical innovative supplier that now sells and distributes medical supplies worldwide.

His visionary leadership has earned him opportunities to work on global projects where his talent in sourcing, producing, financing and marketing has created opportunities for Métier Medical products to be wholesaled and distributed on a global scale.

Tony Taylor

Director

Tony joined Métier Medical Ltd as a Director in 2018. He is also a director of his own successful company working on major projects in the financial, insurance and legal sectors.  As Tony is not involved in the daily operation of the company, he is able to provide impartially, with diverse perspectives, bringing governance and a wealth of business, financial, and corporate law knowledge to the organization.

Tony started his career as a senior valuer and manager of commercial division for Valley Motor Auctions in 1992. He now has over 28 years experience in the valuation business across a broad range of industries. Over his career he has worked with clients such as the Australian Taxation Office, insurance companies and practitioners, Financial Institutions, Solicitors, Accountants, as well as many private and public companies. Tony overseas major projects and is often subpoenaed to court as an expert witness in high profile cases.

Tony has a long list of industry afflictions and qualifications and has been the Secretary of the American Society of Appraisers, Australian chapter since 2011.

Tony’s forge into the medical industry started after a trip to a manufacturing plant in China awakening his interest in the industry. Once he returned from the trip, he had a desire to gain more knowledge about the Metier Medical Group and their innovative products. He is especially interested in the international regulations, negotiations and building client relationships. Through his advisory role he contributes valuable legal and financial knowledge as well as provides logical problem-solving skills.

When he is not at his desk, valuing or in court, you will find him with his family enjoying horse riding and dressage at the Alexander Park Dressage Club where he serves as the current Vice President.

Kim Fullbrook

Secretary / Director

Kim commenced her journey with Métier Medical Ltd in September 2015 as the CFO, and was later appointed the role of the Company Secretary in February 2019. Most recently she was appointed as a Director in November 2020. Kim shares the accountability of the daily financial and business operations with the other Directors.

Kim’s initial career path commenced in Accounting in a busy multi-office legal firm. In this initial career her mentor instilled the continuing discipline of accounting standards, detail and the importance of organization.

After many years Kim transitioned into a second career in Management in the health and wellness industry where she gained her passion for helping others and understanding the immense value and benefits of well-being.

A few years later another career path in Human Relations of People emerged as she led a team to establish procedures and a new workforce following an international purchase of coal mine.

Finally, Kim saw her return to her original career in accounting where she joined Metier Medical team. Her role is constantly evolving whilst she continues to gain knowledge in the medical industry from regulatory to global shipping and international relations.

Kim’s greatest achievement is her young family and thrives on their adventures and beach holidays. To relax she loves being in the garden and the odd cocktail with friends.
